Description
The Ocean Sea Wave Pacific-R is the remote-controlled oscillating unit in the Pacific range, designed to transform the fixed output of your wavemaker into broad, sweeping water movement throughout your reef aquarium.
The latest Pacific-R features an upgraded silent 5V stepper motor, delivering smooth and extremely quiet operation while remaining highly energy efficient.
The unit is suitable for wavemakers producing up to 15,000 LPH, mounted at a maximum depth of 120 mm. The Pacific-R is designed for wavemakers operating in constant-flow mode only and should not be used with pulse or sine-wave modes.
Flexible mounting as standard
Every Pacific-R is supplied with three drive shafts of varying lengths, giving you flexibility when setting the depth and position of your wavemaker.
Also included are both a Magless Mount and Paddle Mount. The Paddle Mount allows you to use your wavemaker’s existing magnetic mounts on either side, making the Pacific-R compatible with a wide variety of popular wavemakers.
The supplied Universal UK Micro Mount opens to 19 mm and is suitable for both braced and rimless aquariums.
Designed for easy servicing
The Pacific-R features a 1.9 metre umbilical cable with a detachable connection approximately 430 mm from the motor head. This allows the unit to be removed for servicing without having to remove the complete cable and controller installation.
The cable break connection is IP65 rated, providing protection against water and splashes during normal aquarium use.
A 5V power supply is included as standard.
Important installation information
The Pacific-R is splash resistant, not submersible. Submerging the motor unit will damage the product and damage caused by submersion is not covered by the Ocean Sea Products guarantee.
When installing the Universal Micro Mount, do not overtighten the clamp as excessive pressure can damage the PETG fitting. We recommend physically checking that the mounting system remains secure at least once per month.
An optional safety lanyard is also available, providing an additional external securing point and helping prevent the unit from accidentally being knocked into the aquarium.

I’ve been running the Ocean Sea Waves Pacific R for the past 5 months and, hand on heart, it’s one of the most impressive pieces of equipment I’ve added to my reef.
The difference in water movement compared to a standard powerhead is night and day.
Instead of a constant blast in one direction, it creates a constantly changing, natural flow pattern that reaches every part of the tank.
Since installing it I’ve noticed better polyp extension, less detritus settling in dead spots, and my fish are far more active, swimming naturally against the changing currents. It’s incredibly quiet, solidly built, and was straightforward to install.
What surprised me most is how much more “alive” the aquarium feels. The random movement it creates is exactly what you want to replicate the ocean, and you can genuinely see the difference throughout the tank.
If you’re serious about keeping SPS or simply want to improve flow in any reef aquarium, I honestly can’t recommend the Ocean Sea Waves Pacific R enough. It’s one of those products that you don’t realise you needed until you try it—and once you do, you won’t want to go back. Absolutely deserves 5 stars.

The Pacific R is has added another level of water movement within my 400L system. I was struggling with detritus accumulating between corals and within rockwork, but since adding these Pacific R’s I can safely say they have helped nearly eliminate that issue whilst improving the overall health and appearance of my SPS. Loving the random flow!
I have an s850 with 2 mp40’s but there were a few spots where the flow was a bit dead, I have added a pacific -r in one back corner of my tank with a DD funktion 10k and it’s solved the issue on. That side of the tank! I have another pacific r ready and a DD funktion is next on my list to fit in the other back corner.

At first I was skeptical to buy pacific R wavemaker controller as there are other reliably well known brands but at a higher cost. Upon ordering and contacting seawave personnel I was able to get the nero 5 adapter package instead of the standard I ordered. Seawave personnel (I believe was the owner) was so responsive that even weekends have communicated with me. That was an awesome deal.
By the way, the 1x pacific R I installed in one corner of my reef tank which is blowing also to my other maxspect gyre xf350 is a game changer. The product is sturdy and well designed and 3D printed. Hope it will last for years to come.

I run 2 of the Pacific R units on my 8ft, 1500ltr reef system. It has been the most cost effective way to get the flow I need in a tank of this size. I am running my chosen powerheads on a high output random wave action, and the oscillation has enabled to be get truly random, chaotic flow in the tank. My favourite feature however?! No complicated app, just an easy to use, easily adjustable dial controller. I am a convert to the oscillating flow and marks support has also been great.

Ordered 2 for my 6ft 8 reef with a cheap wave maker at 30% on constant flow is creating amazing movement and coral extention, this i will be ditching the mp40’s for more of these.
