MEG-R
The Ocean Sea Wave MEG-R is our heavy-duty oscillating system, engineered for larger and more powerful wavemakers where strength, reliability and precise movement are essential.
Built to handle wavemakers producing up to 7,925 US GPH when operating in sine-wave mode, the MEG-R is designed for demanding reef systems and can operate with a maximum drive-shaft depth of 8 inches.
The MEG-R provides an impressive 260° range of rotation from its set starting position, continuously sweeping your wavemaker’s flow across the aquarium to create broad, dynamic water movement and help reduce stagnant areas and dead spots.
Despite its heavy-duty construction, the MEG-R operates from just 5V DC at less than 1 amp and is engineered for exceptionally quiet operation. At approximately three feet away, the unit is effectively silent during normal use.
Built for serious reef systems
The MEG-R is supplied with mounting options suitable for both braced and rimless aquariums with glass up to ¾ inch thick.
For aquariums with particularly wide rims, Ocean Sea Products also manufactures extra-wide jaw clamps, making the MEG-R suitable for a much broader range of large reef systems. Please contact us for compatibility and sizing information.
All exposed metal components are manufactured from A4 marine-grade stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance for use around marine aquariums.
Maintenance has also been kept simple. A single A4 stainless-steel bolt separates the main body from the mounting bracket, allowing straightforward removal for servicing.
The unit includes a 6 ft 2 in umbilical lead, with an IP65-rated break connection approximately 12 inches from the motor head, allowing the MEG-R to be disconnected without having to remove the entire installation.
Signature Mount Set Included
Every MEG-R includes our versatile Signature Mount Set, giving you multiple options for positioning and attaching your wavemaker.
The set includes three drive shafts of different lengths, a Magless Mount adapter, and a Paddle Mount that allows compatible magnetic wavemakers to be secured using their existing magnets.
Additional dedicated mounts are available separately for a range of popular wavemakers, including Nero 7, Jebao/Jecod, Panta Rhei, Octo Pulse and Blue Line, allowing the MEG-R installation to be tailored to your individual reef system.

Like a lot of us that have had there tank set up for a few years you get used to your set up and accept any limitations .but then my old wavemaker stopped working so i looked around at what is on offer and came accross the ocean sea waves product and the more i looked the better they sounded so i ordered myself a meg-r and set it up hopeing for an improvement in flow because of the oscillation .I thought my tank was clean but the amount of detritus this meg-r stirred up was amazing and showed how inifficient my old fixed wavemaker was. Now after 3 months use my corals have never looked better or more colorful with planty of fresh growth.This has got to be the way to go for everyone with corals who want the best for their system

These oscillating units took basic powerheads stuck on the glass and made them multidirectional monsters being able to sweep across the tank, creating truly randomized flow that I find so difficult to achieve, especially with grown in tanks. I’ve seen improved health of my corals with more even colony growth, better polyp extension, less detritus buildup, as well as being able to remove excess powerheads while still getting rid of dead spots. I was such a fan as a customer that I decided to put my business behind it and support Ocean Sea Products. I currently run 16 Pro R and Meg R units on my farm and plan on adding more. I support what I use and what i think brings benefit to the hobby. In my honest opinion as a hobbyist first, these are truly worth it for the health of your animals. Hi im Kevin from Amsterdam The Netherlands. A while ago i was in the process of some problem solving regarding flow and detritus. As colonies became bigger and bigger the need for different solutions became clearer. Then i got my hands on 2 of the Pro R units and they blown me away. The flow was amazing way more random than you can create with a static setup. So i decided to get 2 more of the MegR units for the frag system can’t go without these beasts! Quality and reliability are 1-0! And Mark is very very helpfull!
