The Telescopic Drive rod allows you to select the right depth of water you want your wave maker to sit in ,it has a A4 stainless steel grub screw to attach to the motor head .
At the end of the drive shaft it is tapped to receive a M5 screw ,the drive shaft can be cut down in length too if you want the wave maker shallower in your aquarium .
To shorten the drive rod down remove the dark grey adjustable fitting from the grey outer drive shaft it will be tight but it is not glued !,cut this shaft with a junior hacksaw ,like wise you can cut the black solid drive to your desirable length .
NOTE : We advise not to have the drive rod assembly attached to the Motörhead when cutting because it will put unnecessary strain on the internal motor ,we also advise not to have the wave maker attached to it either ,please do not over tighten the grub screw on reassemble because this will strip the thread on the drive rod !.
